THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF TIC TIMOR I.P. HELD A COORDINATION MEETING OF SERVICES WITH THE SICSCO-NTT TEAM.


DÍLI, March 12, 2025 – The Executive Director of TIC TIMOR I.P., Mr. Venâncio Pinto, and the team, held a service coordination meeting with the Sales Director, Mr. Andris Mansegi, and the team from Systems Integration Specialists Company (SISCO) of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), at the TIC TIMOR building in Caicoli.

The objective of this meeting is to discuss the intention of the companies SISCO and NTT, which aim to better understand the services that TIC TIMOR is implementing, including the plans that will be executed. Thus, the two companies will be able to establish collaboration with TIC, especially regarding capacity building in the ICT areas of state institutions, in order to adapt new technologies.

On this occasion, the Executive Director of TIC TIMOR I.P., Mr. Venâncio Pinto, explained that TIC TIMOR is a Government Agency responsible for Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and Electronic Government. In 2025, TIC TIMOR will focuses more on the interconnection of ministerial lines.

The Executive Director also stated that, in state institutions, the local line provided by TIC TIMOR is already in use. This agency has also developed an information system for 130 state institutions, made available free of charge.

Currently, more than 100 institutions, which have local line connections provided by TIC TIMOR, including 80 institutions already hosted in the Electronic Government Data Center. TIC TIMOR has also developed several systems and digital platforms, such as the Online Scheduling System, the Official Institutions Portal, the Declaration of Income, Assets, and Interests (DRBI) Platform in Timor-Leste, and other systems developed internally (In-House development),” informed the Executive Director.

The leader of TIC TIMOR also emphasized that the priority this year is to focus on Electronic Government for the interconnection of ministerial lines, such as the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Health, as well as the Ministry of State Administration (MAE). TIC TIMOR is also currently identifying suitable locations for the construction of the Data Center as part of the modernization efforts.

On the same occasion, the Sales Director of SISCO, Mr. Andris Mansegi, stated that the company is ready to collaborate with TIC TIMOR in the ICT areas, according to the needs of TIC TIMOR, in order to adapt modern technologies. In addition, the team also held a technical discussion about the service cooperation that will be established in the future.

The meeting was attended by the Director of DSIR, Mr. Henrique Fulgencio Guterres, the Director of DCD, Mr. Rusmin Vicente Soares, the Head of the Cybersecurity Unit, Mr. Agotinho Pereira Araújo, the Head of the Timor Digital Unit, Mr. Eusebio de Jesus Goveia, and the Network Services Advisor, Mr. Askar Syarif.
